Question - Has the E-Learning worked out as it was planned ?
Response - “ I think it has become a good thing. The start was pretty rough. We had glitches along the way.”
Question - Are the students in E-Learning doing worse than the students who were going to school?
Response - “I think kids in E-Learning are doing better than kids who were doing Hybrid. The percentage of F’s have increased in hybrid more than in E-Learning”
Question - Is the district paying for our expenses?
Response - “Yes, the district is paying for our expenses.”
Question - How are we paying for the E-Learning ?
Response - “The way we paid for the first half of the year was through something called [the] CARES Act.”
Question - What happens if we run out of CARES Act?
Response - “School districts have something we call Reserves it is like a big savings account and they don’t like to dip into those because they save them for an emergency type situation, but this is an emergency type situation.”
Question - Will the new government in January affect E-Learning?
Response - “Hopefully the new government will give us COVID relief fund. The current secretary of education would like the schools to be privatized and we hope to get a more friendly Secretary of Education.”
Question - How long can E-Learning continue if the vaccine is not issued by early 2021?
Response - “ We are expecting to continue E-Learning through the end of the school year. We hope next school year we don’t need to do E-Learning.”
